Sabancı University


Sabancı University or SU is a private University and research institution which was established in 1996 located in Istanbul, Turkey by one of the leading business man of Turkey, Sakıp Sabancı. The goal of Sabancı Group is to create a "world university" in order to bring successful generation to Turkey nation. The University has the motto "Birlikte yaratmak ve geliştirmek" which means "Creating and developing together". SU consists of four faculties: The Faculty of Arts and Social Studies, The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, The Faculty of Management and School of Languages. The University also has 14 sports teams and shines as one of the best Universities of Turkey.

Princeton University


Princeton University is a private university which was established in 1746 in New Jersey. Later the university had moved to Princeton in 1896. The university has no religious demands from its students.

The university does give master's degrees and doctoral programs in the sciences, humanities, and social sciences, as well as engineering. The Princeton University used tigers as the mascot and has the motto "Dei sub numine viget " which means "Under God's power she flourishes" in english.

The Princeton University has ranked second, behind Harvard among the national universities in US by US News & World Report. In 2008 the university admitted 9.25% of undergraduate applicants therefore it is known as one of the most selective universities of US.

Cambridge University


Cambridge University is established in Cambridge, England in 1209 by the scholar who left University of Oxford. It is the second oldest university which educates its students in english. It is a public university and it is best known for raising scientists such as Newton, Darwin, Rutherford and so on.

In 2006 according to the rankings of THES for the top universities, Cambridge took the second place. The university has the motto "Hinc lucem et pocula sacra" which means "From here, light and sacred draughts " in literal english. The present chancellor of the Cambridge University is the Duke of Edinburgh.

Cambridge University Press is the oldest publisher in the entire world and it plays a vital role in researching. There are three colleges that only accepts female students and that is an interesting fact of The University of Cambridge.

Columbia University




One of the insider of the Ivy League which consists the most reputable eight colleges, Columbia University is a famous university with the motto "In lumine Tuo videbimus lumen " which means "In Thy light shall we see light " in english. The college is a private college established in 1754 in New York.


The university is a harmony of dinamic culture. Columbia University mostly gives education in business, history, politics and navigation. The hospitals in New York mostly affiliated with the medical school of the Columbia University which is a huge difference for Columbia University.



University of Oxford

Universit of Oxford is the oldest University in education in english which was published in 1096. It is located in Oxford, England and admitted as one of the best universities of present day.

Oxford is a public university which consists 19 486 students. In 2006 the university had an income of £609m therefore many students of Oxford is supported economically during their studies.

The university contains four libraries and four museums. The motto of the college is "Dominus Illuminatio Mea" in latin which means "The Lord is my Light" in english. This motto displays the religious past of the college.

University of Chicago


Next University that we introduce to you is the University which Barack Obama the current President of the USA, University of Chicago.
U of C is established by John D. Rockefeller who is an oil magnate in 1980. He states that this University is one of the best investment of him.
U of C is 12 km away from Chicago and gives education in english and known as one of the leading Universities in economics.
U of C had won 82 Nobel Prize which makes the University the best at this area.
In 2008 Forbes point out U of C has the 4th best undergraduate program in USA.
The motto of the University is "Crescat scientia; vita excolatur" in latin which means "Let knowledge grow from more to more; and so be human life enriched" in english.
